The 85th Anniversary of John Greenleaf Whittier Chapter, NSDAR, was celebrated
May 20, 2015

Members and guests enjoyed displays of quilts, depression glass, photos, books, and more from the 1930s.  Hats and elegant dresses made it more interesting.  We were greeted by area and state officers as well as a representative from the Whittier City Council.  The history of the chapter was read and displayed.  A 1930s quiz was enjoyed by all.  Favors for each person were John Greenleaf Whittier Chapter, NSDAR, mugs and candy.  Our dessert was a beautiful cake with John Greenleaf Whittier and the date displayed on it.
